Starting on 6 Aug at 5:20 pm (Mountain Time) we deployed a change to our Arc video platform as a prerequisite to deploying future feature enhancements. This release inadvertently caused media that was embedded without comments in the browser app to fail. We deployed a patch to resolve this behavior on 6 Aug at 9:47 pm (Mountain Time).
We deployed a patch that resolved the root of this issue to ensure that all embedded media through the Arc platform loaded properly. This addressed the immediate issue. We have also identified opportunities to improve our QA processes around this type of scenario, which will both detect issues like this before they are deployed, and alert us to potential issues sooner.
We sincerely apologize for any trouble this incident has caused for you and your users. The ability to load and view embedded media is an integral component of Arc. We will improve our monitoring of the services to help prevent this type of incident in the future.
